ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR POSTERS

What is it? This annual event is an occasion to get together with other microscopists to discuss and show off your work. You see everyone's latest and greatest pictures as well as checking out the displays of our corporate sponsors, get up to date on new equipment, techniques and supplies! All the while socializing over a great buffet.
When? Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Where? The Catholic University of America, McMahon Hall Foyer.
Directions and Parking: Good directions are available at The Catholic University of America web site http://www.cua.edu/directions/. From most places you will take Michigan Avenue until you see the dome of the Shrine marking an entrance at 4th Street, NE. McMahon Hall is in the middle of the campus as shown on this map, http://welcome.cua.edu/maps.cfm. McMahon Hall is in the middle of campus (see map at: http://welcome.cua.edu/maps.cfm ). The Brookland/CUA Metro stop across McCormick Road is only a 5 minute walk to McMahan Hall, so we strongly encourage taking the Metro. If driving, directions are available at http://www.cua.edu/directions/ . From most places, you will take Michigan Avenue until you see the Basilica dome marking an entrance at 4th St., NE. There is no free parking on campus. There are some metered spots next to the Basilica and on McCormick Road on the east side of campus. There is also parking at the Metro stop.

Entry requirements? Very easy! Bring a full poster from another meeting or just some beautiful micrographs. You could even bring a computer generated show-and-tell. You do not have to be a CSM member to enter, so bring friends, colleagues, fellows and students. Poster boards are small tri-fold cardboard ones again this year (36in height X 48in wide).

with the title of your poster, authors and institution. If you just
want to come and view posters, no registration is necessary.
